



This high mountain itinerary covers the fleeing troops of the Muslim army expelled by the Cantabrian and Asturian armies in the Battle of Covadonga in the year 718.
A 60 km path with more than 5000 meters of gained altitude, and an incredible abundance of landscapes: meadows, forests, narrow channels and glacial valleys. The most beautiful shepherd flocks and aerial views of the Cares gorge.
Stage 1. Covadonga Sanctuary – Covadonga Lakes. 15 km. 1250m+ /300m-
Stage 2. Covadonga Lakes – Camarmeña. 18 km. 900m+ / 1800m-
Stage 3. Camarmeña – Sotres. 12 km. 1300m+ / 500m-
Stage 4. Sotres – Cosgaya. 26 km. 1000m+ / 1300m-
