Located in the central area of the Cantabrian Mountain Range, it occupies an area of 451 km2 between the councils of Lena, Teverga and Quirós. UNESCO biosphere reserve since 2012. With in it, mountains of more than 2000 meters, such as the peaks of Fontanes and Peña Ubiña are combined with deep valleys surrounded by a rich huge landscape, where beech forests stand out.
We will walk through places as emblematic as the Ports of Agüeria, where we will cross holly forests surrounded by mountains of more than 2000m. and we will ascend to the mythical Peña Ubiña, the dominating figure of this range a.k.a. the Tuiz Alps.
